The Freaks Action Network has sprung into action over the pandemic, giving out $84,000 in grants to over 200 NYC musicians in need via our Musicians Relief Fund. We also know that musicians are not the only ones in our beloved live music universe who were impacted by the pandemic. Even as live music starts to come back to life across the city, we know that it will be a few months or longer before things are back to a new normal.

To try and alleviate some of the hardships endured by the industry while we wait, FAN has established a one-time support fund to provide grants to those who work behind the scenes to help make live music in NYC happen. The NYC Live Music Production Support Fund will provide grants of $400 to the folks in production: those responsible for running the sound, working the lights and keeping everything on stage working so the show goes off without a hitch. Again, we are concentrating on the NYC scene, grants are available to live music production people who did work at shows and venues in NYC in 2019.

FAN has dedicated $10,000 to the support fund and an anonymous donor has given another $10,000. We are taking applications from June 15 to July 15, and will support as many people as we can, so please donate if you can and spread the word. The more money we raise, the more we can help.
